CM Atishi Held A Meeting With DTC Contract Workers – Amar Ujala Hindi News Live

The strike of DTC contractual workers for the last four days ended on Tuesday evening. Bus operations remained normal on Wednesday. Late on Tuesday evening, a meeting was held between Chief Minister Atishi, employees union officials and DTC officials at Delhi Secretariat. In the meeting, the Chief Minister has assured to fulfill the demands of the employees. After this the employees called off the strike.

A meeting was held with the contractual workers of Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) in the conference hall of Delhi Secretariat. In the meeting, Delhi Chief Minister Atishi discussed the issues raised by DTC employees and took several important decisions. President of DTC Employees Ekta Union, Lalit, said that the meeting was specifically called regarding the issues of the employees working in the Pink Bus Depot, where termination letters were issued to the employees.

The Chief Minister assured that the termination letters would be withdrawn from the employees working at the Pink Bus Depot when they return to duty. Along with this, he also assured to take positive steps for women employees. There was a demand for the women workers to return to their original depot. Women employees working in Pink Bus Depot will be transferred back to their original depot as per their request.

Apart from this, other employees who have sought general transfer will be accommodated at the depot nearest to their residence. The Chief Minister has said that a policy will be made for contract drivers and conductors to continue their service even after March 2025. Also, a policy decision will be taken at the level of DTC Board and Council of Ministers to regularize all the contractual employees, after which it will be sent to the Lieutenant Governor for approval.
